Scotland - July 30/07

Warning: I've been up for two days. I'm sitting in the drawing room beside the fireplace of our beautiful Edinburgh walk up. The flight was good (British Airways is the best) except Jayne, Robin and I were the only ones on the plane who didn't sleep. Not sure why. Excitement. Nerves. Too many snacks. I was so tired that on the short flight from London to Edinburgh I went to use the washroom and, thinking that it was the door handle, I started to pull at the old ashtray on the wall beside the door. I pulled so hard I yanked it right off the wall. I picked it up off the floor and took it into the washroom with me. And left it there. It could be a criminal offense I'm not sure.

Speaking of, in Heathrow we saw police walking around carrying huge machine guns. Machine guns!! Terrifying. Great airport though. Huge. We got to our house in Edinburgh and I decided to walk around a bit instead of sleep so I wouldn't be up all night. Amazingly I was able to find my way around. Found a grocery store and liquor store. Bought some cider. Some soy milk. Some digestive cookies. And of course some crisps. They are sooooo good but soooo bad for you. My god. Then I slept for a few hours in my great room which has a beautiful view (see photos). Tomorrow we have a day off except for meeting with the publicist. We are a five minute walk from the best shopping street, restaurants, parks, and lots of lovely shops. So excited. So tired. Going to have some cider and then go to bed.
